Clinical Utilisation Review

What is CUR?

It enables both commissioning and provider organisations to make objective, evidence-based assessments of whether patients are receiving:

CUR drives efficiency, improved utilisation, better patient outcomes by asking…

Implementing CUR

  • We will work with you to develop a common “shared purpose” for your CUR programme
  • We ensure the benefits of CUR are well understood and that there is a clear vision of the purpose and drivers for CUR across your system
  • We ensure your lead clinicians and executives are engaged and committed to the use of the CUR tool
  • We help you embed CUR into performance management and reporting/dashboards
  • We support you to identify and procure your preferred CUR supplier from the National Framework to achieve the optimum solution and ensure alignment with your model of care
  • We will ensure you get a sustained return on investment
  • We provide you with the dedicated PMO required throughout implementation and in securing benefits realisation

CUR proactively supports the integration of services around the needs of the patient: avoiding unnecessary admissions, prolonged stays (LOS), re-admissions and not least clinically unnecessary care/ treatment processes.
